Public YouTube videos and Shorts (as MP4, or just the audio track as MP3/M4A) as well as public Instagram photos, carousels, reels and video posts. Stories are only available to a limited extent. Playlists, channels, live streams, private accounts and DRM-protected content are not supported.

For YouTube, Nabbly offers every resolution the video actually has, for example 360p, 720p, 1080p or 4K. For Instagram, the original file delivered by the platform is downloaded. Nabbly does not upscale videos and adds no watermarks.

No. Nabbly runs entirely in the browser, on a smartphone as well as on a computer. You need neither an account nor an app or browser extension.

The submitted link is only processed to provide the preview and the download. The prepared file is stored briefly on our server and deleted automatically after 15 minutes. Nabbly sets no cookies and embeds no advertising scripts or third-party services. For statistics we use our own cookie-free measurement, which you can object to at any time. Only download content you hold the rights to or whose creator has given permission. For strictly private use, copyright exceptions such as the private copy under German law (§ 53 UrhG) may apply; the platforms' terms and copyright law must still be respected. You are responsible for how you use the service.

Common reasons: the content is private or only visible to logged-in users, it has been deleted, it is a live stream or a playlist, or the platform is temporarily blocking requests. In such cases Nabbly shows a specific error message. It often helps to copy the link straight from the address bar and try again a little later.

A handful of requests per minute are possible per user so that the service stays stable for everyone. Individual files may not exceed a fixed maximum size, and preparation may take at most ten minutes. For ordinary videos and photos this does not matter.
